We are delighted to present Eastern Promises, a series of music events that will kick off this December with an exclusive evening featuring Moscow techno producers Johns’ Kingdom. The event will include a film screening by young Australian filmmaker Timothy George Kelly and a club night with Kedr Livanskiy and Buttechno.
Hosted by The Calvert Journal, Eastern Promises is dedicated to showcasing emerging music talents from the New East region: eastern Europe, the Balkans, Russia and Central Asia.
A DIY record label and underground music community based in Moscow, Johns’ Kingdom started as a gravitation point for young Russian producers who normally wouldn’t leave their flats in the suburbs of the city and evolved into a real scene.
