Urban Garden Installation by Conservatory Archives

You’re invited to celebrate our latest collaboration with London plant specialists Conservatory Archives.

Come by the bookshop to experience our carefully curated green oasis and sip floral cocktails. You can also view the 2016 New East Photo Prize Exhibition.

Those who purchase a book on the night will also receive a plant from Conservatory Archives as a gift.

About the project

This winter, we’ve collaborated with London plant specialists Conservatory Archives to transform our bookshop into an urban oasis where visitors can relax and reflect among cacti, succulents, trailing plants and other green things.

The project draws inspiration from the nostalgic aesthetic of Soviet sanatoriums and biology classrooms, brought into the present with a contemporary east London style.

You’re invited to experience our curated collection of “living sculptures”, whose benefits are both aesthetic and therapeutic, and lend our bookshop a contemplative, calming vibe.

You can also extend your experience by purchasing plants to take home and care for.
