Eastern Grains with Alex Hely-Hutchinson

As part of his Come to Konstam! residency at the Calvert 22 Café, chef Oliver Rowe will be teaming up with “London’s hottest food property” Alex Hely-Hutchinson, founder of the Neal’s Yard eatery 26 Grains and author of the cookbook of the same name.

At this unique supper club, Oliver and Alex will be presenting a menu inspired by the grains and pulses of eastern Europe as they look for interesting new ways to weave them into their dishes.

Menu

– Millet cakes with pickled fennel

– Pear, Jerusalem artichoke & roast garlic salad with caraway & rye crumb

– Apple & fennel-seed glazed pork ribs (or Cavolo Nero & cream cheese pierogi [v.]) with wheatberry & red cabbage salad, Vadasz Deli pickles, sour cream and dill

– Beetroot frangipane, apple & oat tart with semolina & toasted buckwheat ice-cream
