Aneta Bartos graduated from New York’s School of Visual Arts in 2001 and lives and works in New York. She was chosen by Photo District News as their top emerging photographer for 2007, and went on to display her collaboration 4Sale in New York, Moscow and Poznań in 2010. After taking part in 31 Women in Art Photography at Hasted Kraeutler in New York in 2012, Bartos presented a solo exhibition of her series Boys at the Carlton Arms Hotel. In 2017, she showed Family Portrait in a solo exhibition at Postmasters, New York. Bartos’ work has been featured in publications including Time, Artforum, Modern Painters, Foam Magazine and New York Magazine among others. In 2017, she was a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant.
